221B Con 2025 Volunteer Contract

Any person 18 years of age or older by 04/11/2025 can apply to be a volunteer at 221B Con.

We won’t be able to run the thing without your help. However, as with all things in life, there are a few rules. To sign up you must fill out the volunteer application on this website. We will let you know if your application has been approved and where and when we will need you. Please let us know when you would most like to be available for a panel, though we cannot promise that we will always be able to accommodate you. We will provide any training or instruction necessary for what you need to do, but if you have any specific talents, please let us know. If you can wire an entire auditorium in under 17 minutes, that would be awesome to know. You will be responsible for checking in with the volunteer head upon your arrival at the convention.

Possible volunteer duties include, but are not limited to the following:

-Room entry monitoring: This includes badge checking and line control for panels. You may be asked to count panel attendees so that we may abide by Fire Marshal regulations.

As a volunteer, you must agree to the following:

1. I promise to show up on time for my designated volunteer hours.

2. I promise to sign in and out with the appropriate coordinator.

3. I understand that if I do not fulfill the volunteer hours I agree to I will not be allowed to volunteer at future cons.

4. I understand that while I may wear a costume during my volunteer hours that it cannot unreasonably restrict my movement or otherwise prevent me from doing my work.

5. I understand that all regular con rules and regulations apply to volunteers.

Please keep in mind that 221B Con reserves the right to modify these rules and regulations at any time without prior notice and may deny any individual a volunteer assignment for any reason.

Submitting a volunteer registration form does not guarantee a volunteer assignment.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with 221B Con. By filling out the Volunteer Application, you agree and accept all terms, rules, and regulations as set out by 221B.
